The first hole plays much longer than its actual yardage due to the prevailing south wind. I try to favor the right side of the fairway to open up the green a little more. A solid tee shot is a must.
The second shot on No. 1 will usually be 160-190 yards, a pretty straightforward shot. Not much trouble. Anywhere from a 3-iron to a 7-iron depending on wind.
